Just something I noticed...

Okay, I've been seeing a new ad for Yaz birthcontrol pills. In this new ad they use the song "We're not going to take it". The marketing really works, because I'm not going to take Yaz birthcontrol pills. Really, didn't anyone in their marketing group think this song might not be the best idea?

Aw, diddums have to lose weight?

Saw this on MSNBC...

BENTONVILLE, Ark. - An inmate awaiting trial on a murder charge is suing the county, complaining he has lost more than 100 pounds because of the jailhouse menu.
Broderick Lloyd Laswell says he isn't happy that he's down to 308 pounds after eight months in the Benton County jail. He has filed a federal lawsuit complaining the jail doesn't provide inmates with enough food. According to the suit, Laswell weighed 413 pounds when he was jailed in September. Police say he and a co-defendant fatally beat and stabbed a man, then set his home on fire. The meals, provided through Aramark Correctional Institution Services, average 3,000 calories a day, jail Capt. Hunter Petray told The Morning News of northwest Arkansas for a story Saturday.

Poor homicidal bastard, he's wasted away to nothing! Someone smuggle him in some chicken and waffles in a cake! Life sucks in jail, go figure!

How I spent 4/20

Here are a few pics of the Belvedere Tailgate held in the Oakland Coliseum parking lot.
(so sorry corporate sponsor, it will always be the Oakland Coliseum)

Phil and Katherine arrive in style.

I really thought I would look back on this afternoon as "The day Jim went to the hospital".

The "green" barbeque.

'Waste not the empty keg' thought Adrian, so he made himself a barbeque out of it. Gore would be proud.

Phil has a bunch more (better) pics here...

Favorite song of the week...

New Zealand.........Rocks!!!
Check them out on HBO. They're a little dry but very funny!

Welcome to the Martini Station...

Okay, I'm starting from scratch. I've come up with a name I'm happy with (and was actually available and not being used by someone else already) and since I couldn't figure out how to change the info on the first blog, I've decided to just start over.

Meet the new blog, same as the old blog.

Since transferring everything over seemed too daunting a task, here's a link to the previous enteries...

And as usual, fine tuning is still underway. We appreciate your patience while we are under construction.
