It's not torture, it's love...

Poor Bo! I knew he was having dental issues so I broke down and took him in to get his teeth cleaned. I knew it was going to be expensive but he's a sweetie so I figured it was worth it in the end. Wow! Was his mouth a mess! He was absessed from here to Jersey. They ended up having to extract 3 teeth and then put a wire through his lower jaw to keep the bones from seperating further. He'll have this wire for 6 - 8 weeks and then they'll send us to a dental Veterinarian to repair it. (sigh)
I know that it's for the greater good and once it's all over and done with he will feel so much better but right now I feel like I'm just torturing this poor thing. All the Vet's visits, the thermometric invasions, shots, blood being draw, fluid extractions and now we're removing body parts, sticking wires through his bones and putting him in the collar of evil that has him bouncing off walls like a pinball. What's killing me is that he's still just purring his heart out.

Funnel Cat (Jim's nickname)

So, wish this guy luck. He has a way to go before we can put the Vet visits behind us. I just wish this was easier on him, it would make it easier on me because it's breaking my heart to put him through all this. It's for the best right?

Aw, poor kitty! He will be better for it, though I know it's hard in the meantime.

As my friend Debbie said, it's really hard when you can't explain to them why you're doing all these things to them. And his being so sweet about it just makes me feel worse. He's such a good boy.
